This is from late July last year, she was exactly 2 months old there and very grumpy. It's normal for baby snakes to be overly defensive due to the fact that they're vulnerable and preyed on. After regular handling sessions she's thankfully growing to be a calm beauty(as apparent in her other recent pictures). She's literally all over me as I'm uploading this, flicking her tongue all over my face curiously and as gentle as can be. I could literally gently touch her head now and she wouldn't even flinch. To those wondering, she's a Malaysian Red Blood Python(Python Brongersmai).
P.S. Yes the strike in the video did hurt.
